ACTUAL STILL OF FILMED GUNFIGHT BETWEEN LT. PATTON AND “GENERAL” CARDENAS MOMENTS BEFORE PATTON KILLS HIS MURDERING ASS
Major (war time Coronal) George S Patton France, WW 1.
Father for the US Tank Corps
My mother in law’s family were Basque people who got to Texas via Mexico.
The head of the family was a loyalist fighting against the revolutionist.
Most of the family was mass murdered by the bandit turned revolutionary Poncho Villa’s bunch.
The few who escaped made it across the Rio Grande and my cousin Lieutenant George S Patton went South across the Rio Grande and killed Poncho’s 2nd in command in a pistol fight.
Then he strapped his ass to the hood of his car and took him back to show his Commanding Officer General Black Jack Pershing who was very pleased with Georgie.
Fact is stranger than fiction.
My wife who’s Great great grandfather was an officer in the army of Mexico, Who’s great grandfather on her father’s side was a member of the Mounted Rifles of Kentucky, CSA, who’s father fought in the Pacific islands during WW 2, and who held things together on the Homefront when I left her pregnant and with a 3 year old when I shipped out to war.
War is not just hell to the men who fight, their women live with both the wars and the aftermath.
The Ole Dog!
