This is the type of ongoing propaganda that keeps the masses at each others’ throats. “Identity Politics.” That is, one should identify with some group or collective.
Fear is the most powerful weapon the ruling class has in it’s war against the subject class. (This is very obviously seen in the current Scamdemic Scare.)
Thus the tactic of Divide and Conquer is rooted in fear. “Fear the Other.”
The slave class of early colonial America consisted primarily of Irishmen, Englishmen, and Africans. Bacon’s Rebellion (1676) was an armed rebellion held by an alliance between European ‘indentured servants.’ and Africans. This greatly disturbed the colonial upper class. They responded by hardening the ‘racial’ caste of slavery in an attempt to divide the two groups from subsequent united uprisings with the passage of the Virginia Slave Codes of 1705.
The only way for America and Americans to move beyond today’s racism is to understand that “race” outside the human race is an artificial political construct and is no more real than the divide between the Democrats and Republicans or the Bloods and the Crips. AND THAT NO ONE FORCES YOU TO JOIN THESE GANGS.
