Scribes Can Be More Dangerous To Freedom Than Enemy Soldiers

Julius Caesar was a social reformer.
He was trying to make the elites stop stealing so much from the common man.
He was giving land to Veterans of the Legions, who had been thrown to the dogs by the elites when they could not soldier anymore.

The elites killed him for trying to save the Republic.

Yet he is blamed in history books, for founding the Empire.

It was the elites who killed the Republic, when they murdered Caesar for trying to force reforms on the elites, which were necessary to save the Republic.

Augustus founded the Empire.

Scribes can be more dangerous to freedom than enemy soldiers.
